Delivery Mileage BUT 6 Years Old.

The days of delivery mileage cars going unsold when reserves are above MSRP have sailed save for certain GT cars, and that’s for brand-new 2022 models. Apparently, the owner of this 200-mile 2016 Boxster Spyder did not get the memo.

We first saw this car no-sale on Bring a Trailer 3 months ago at $110,000. Fast forward to yesterday, our Spotlight car failed to sell for a second time at $102,000 on PCARMARKET and is now offered in the Deal Tank for $130,000, roughly $17,000 over its MSRP back in 2016.

The lowest mileage 981 Spyder to sell in the last year had 4,000 miles and found a new home at $111,361. Now, based on that one would think a 200-mile example might fetch closer to the asking price but at the end of the day, it’s still a six-year-old car.

The seller should have taken the $110,000 and run back in October. It’s only going to get lower from here. Well not-sold. Is that even a thing?
