GT3 Deals To Be Had…. Overseas
As you sit back and read our 40th market report I’m sure that the astute among you have noticed the lack of prices reported for modern Porsche sales in the UK and abroad. Occasionally we will assess a sale from a legacy auction house but our assessments are of cars 25 years or older and eligible for import into the US. Basically, market agnostic classics and modern classics.
Modern Porsche’s however, are not market agnostic. In fact, the markets couldn’t be more different. Let’s take for example this 2022 sub-1,000 mile 911 GT3 Touring sold on Collecting Cars in the UK. Well-optioned with full buckets, PCCBs, front-axel lift system, and 6-speed manual transmission, this car would have sold here in the US for north of $280,000 and possibly closer to $300,000.
But in the UK? $204,992. Almost $100,000 less than what a similar car would sell for here. Wrap your head around that. Blame Brexit, Liz, inflation, or that lettuce, the market couldn’t be more different.
