There’s Only One Left

In the past three months, two out of the three 6-speed equipped Cayenne Transsyberias ever built have sold on Bring a Trailer. The first, sold in November of 2022 was a 111,000-mile example out of Canada that featured orange accents as well as the typical Trannsyberia lettering on the side. The car sold for $54,957.

The 2010 Transsyberia 6=Speed pictured above has roughly 83,000 miles and orange accents but lacks the Transsyberia lettering on the sides as the vehicle was repainted due to vandalism, not an accident. The car was sold yesterday for a new auction record for Transsyberia Cayennes of $70,500. Not only did this vehicle make a record price, but it also had the lowest mileage of any Transsyberia Cayenne to sell in the last 5 years.

Obviously, a strong price as expected for such a rare and low mileage SUV. But it has me thinking… where’s the third manual Transsyberia Cayenne, how many miles does it have, and what would it take to see a Transsyberia Cayenne cross into the six-figure territory?

There was a $15,000 jump in price for a roughly 30,000-mile difference. With that math, one would think a $100,000 sale would need to have close to 20,000 miles on the odometer. But I don’t think it would need to be that low.

We know where two out of three are with regard to mileage, and from the comments, it seems neither car will be looking for a new home any time soon. This means you’re going to have to pay up for the only other one left should it come to market. Regardless of mileage, I think the next Transsyberia Cayenne to come up for sale, as long as it’s not a complete disaster, has a chance. Well-bought for a three-of-a-kind example.
